'Op den twingsten Februarij 1868 des morgens om 9 uur werd in de Zuiderzee ten westen van 'de Knar' opgevischt en aan gebragt eene drenkeling genaamd Jan Visser, oud dertig jaren, van beroep visscher en wonende te Huizen en gehuwd met Jannetje Jongerden'.

De (ondiepte) 'de Knar' lag op ca. 8 km ten noordwesten van Harderwijk. Na de aanleg van de Flevopolder ligt thans op de plek van de Knar het zogenaamde Knarbos, dat door de Knardijk verdeeld wordt in een oostelijk en een westelijk deel.
