beroep: luitenant in het reg. lichte Dragonders te Maastricht, trad in dienst in 1794, werd 19-8-1812 tweede, en 2-4-1813 eerste luitenant, 15-2-1815 ritmeester, 31-12-1816 overgeplaatst naar het O.I. leger, en sterft 6-4-1819 (zie ook Bosscha, Nederl. Heldendaden te land, 3, 397)
Bartele SUtses Bocher krijgt voor 1816 een annuares des titulaire de La Legion d'Honneur.
Na zoeken, moet voor de overgave wezen, dus rond 1813-1814.

Uit Bosscha:
Eerste Luitenant Bartel Sijtses Böcher Hollands Officier van het 2e regiment Lansiers op Veldtocht naar Rusland.
Naar Rusland te Paard vertrokken op 10-2-1812 vanuit Versailles.
Zijn groep is niet in een heftige strijd terechtgekomen.

Legioen van Eer, was rond de tijd van Napoleon de hoogste onderscheiding die er was. En nu anno 2009 nog steeds.
