Aeisso was voerman van de gemeente met paard en wagen daarnaast deed hij ook begrafenissen.Hij hield een hele administratie bij van zijn financiën en van zijn werkzaamheden het boek is bewaard gebleven en in bezit van zijn kleinzoon Aeisso Smit.Een verhaal is de moeite waard om te vertellen.Hij reed eens een begrafenis en op de terug weg gingen de dragers in de lijkwagen zitten ,een van hen had een fles drank mee genomen en dit vloeide rijkelijk,zodat de mensen in Nieuwe Schans verbaasd opmerkten :Aeisso het de dooien zeker weer mitnomen want ze zingen as liesters.
