Notes about Claas Elbers

Klaas Elbers is betrokken bij de opstand in Hattem in 1786 tegen het gezag.
Bij nadering van de troepen van de Stadhouder vluchten de opstandelingen naar Zwolle.
Op 25 april 1788 worden Klaas en medeopstandelingen veroordeeld tot een jaar verbanning, een boete van 25 gulden en de kosten van het proces.
Het vonnis wordt op 14 mei 1788 gewijzigd, boete en verbanning worden ongedaan gemaakt.
Klaas vestigt zich met zijn ouders en zusters in Amsterdam.
In 1796 dient Klaas samen met zijn moeder (Antje L Jacobs = Johanna Louwrens Sanders) een verzoek in voor compensatie in verband met verbanning, dit verzoek word afgewezen omdat hij geen bewijs kan overleggen over zijn verblijfplaats.
