Geboren te Schimmert op 2 december 1909 In dienst genomen bij staatsmijn Emma op 12 april 1927 als hulp-lampenist met een uurloon van twintig cent Van te voren op boerderij gewerkt
Verder gewerkt als
Sleper 2 december 1929 tot 1 december 1931 (geschikt geacht voor het werken ondergronds) Hulphouwer 1 december 1931 tot 1 januari 1936 Houwer vanaf 1 januari 1936 met een loon van 4.70 gulden (waarschijnlijk per dag)
Op 8 april 1941 wordt vermeld dat hij dienst kon doen als schudgootmeester
Ingaande 19 april 1948 ging men akkoord om hem als meester-houwer te laten fungeren. Moest hiervoor een psychotechnische test ondergaan op 3 mei 1948. Niet duidelijk of dat ook daadwerkelijk is gebeurd.
In 1949 was hij door negen ziekmeldingen in totaal 148 dagen ziek Ingaande 1 augustus 1950 weer ondergronds gaan werken
In 1954 nieuw akkoord voor meester-houwer. Weer test gedaan op 19 januari 1954. Op 10 mei 1955 overkwam hem een bedrijfsongeval. Hierdoor mee dan twee jaar ongeschikt voor arbeid. Ontslag vanwege invaliditeitspensioen op 1 november 1957

In 1929 had hij recht op vier verlofdagen per jaar
Opleiding
Houwerscursus 1933-1934.
Geslaagd op 17 december 1935 voor het examen (pijler)
Hoedan en hoeveelheid goed Theorie voldoende Toezicht slecht (5)
In de loop der tijd (1928-1939) beoordeeld door de opzichters Gevers, Lucassen, Schramm, Vroomen,Van Laar, Hensgens, Weerts en Kleintjens.
Periode 1947-1957 had hij o.a. de volgende opzichters cq. beoordelaars V.d. Berg, Haagmans, Sijstermans, Peusens, Schreibers, Roelevink, Brouns en Eleveld.
Altijd een goede tot zeer goede beoordeling gehad.
