Weggevoerd na de razzia in Putten in 1944, maar weer vrijgelaten vanuit Kamp Amersfoort op 12-10-1944.
Heeft zijn vrijlating waarschijnlijk te danken aan een vergissing. Met de razzia is er nog een Gerrit Meiling opgepakt. Zijn vrouw was ziek en op een gegeven moment werd op het appel omgeroepen dat in verband met ziekte Gerrit Meiling naar voren moest komen. Gerrit Meiling had niet door dat het om hem ging, hij was immers zelf niet ziek. Iemand die achter Gerrit Meiling stond gaf hem een duw en zei: ze roepen jou naam, je komt vrij, hij werd vrijgelaten op 12-10-1944. De Gerrit Meiling waar het om ging is op 03-03-1945 omgekomen in Beendorf.
