    Hendrik Jan is geboren in 1909 in het Buurtschap: Tongeren te Wijhe. Hij Trouwde in1937 op 28 jarige leeftijd met de 23 jarige Hendrika Lammers. Hendrika bleek op de trouwdag al 4 maanden in blijde verwachting te zijn. Het was een gezellig gezin. Om de paar jaar werd er weer een kleine geboren... In totaal 11 kinderen kwamen ter wereld in 21 jaar tijd...Hendrik Jan had een druk leven, de boerderij, en elf kinderen. Hendrik Jan kwam vrij jong te overlijden, op 60 jarige leeftijd..Zijn vrouw bleef toen achter met de kinderen, waarvan de jongste nog maar 11 jaar oud was. Hendrik Jan is in het Deventer Ziekenhuis overleden.
