Marcus Meier Stoodel had een buitenechtelijk geboren kind. Door de oorlog is hij nooit met de moeder van zijn kind getrouwd. Hij werd in eerste instantie tewerkgesteld in kamp Elsloo. Hij wist daaruit te ontsnappen. Vervolgens heeft hij enkele maanden ondergedoken gezeten in Elsloo. In 1943 gaf hij zich vrijwillig aan voor de veiligheid van de moeder van zijn kind en zijn kind, die beiden de oorlog hebben overleefd.
