Simon Swaalep en zijn echtgenote Rachel Bak werden onder ons onbekende omstandigheden opgepakt en op 18 december 1942 naar de Dossinkazerne overgebracht. Daar werden hun namen onder de nummers 199 en 200 toegevoegd aan de deportatielijst van transport XIX. Deze trein verliet de kazerne op 15 januari 1943 en kwam 17 januari 1943 in Auschwitz-Birkenau aan. Gezien de leeftijd van Simon en Rachel, beiden waren bijna 64 jaar oud, is het hoogstwaarschijnlijk dat zij meteen naar de gaskamers werden gestuurd.
