Notes about Arie (Arij) Leendertsz Lans

De oudste zoon Leendert Willemsz Lans wordt in 1670 gedoopt in Capelle aan den ijssel. Hij is zoon van Willem Engelen en Marijtje Hijndricks. Zij wonen in Stormpolder en krijgen 4 zonen en 2 dochters. Een van de zonen is Arij Leenderts die trouwt met Marrigje Slim. In deze tijd heeft de familie als beroepen steenbakker, broodbakker,bouwman en bezitten huizen en grond. Uit Arij en Marrigje wordt in 1736 Cornelis Ariensz Lans geboren in Stormpolder, en gedoopt in Ouderkerk aan den ijssel. Samen met zijn vrouw Ariaantje den Duijf krijgen ze 9 kinderen. Een van deze is Pieter, die in 1777 geboren wordt in Crimpen op den ijssel (thans Krimpen aan den ijssel). Crimpen had pas in 1866 een eigen kerk (ned. hervormd). Tot die tijd vonden dopen, huwelijken en begraven plaats in het naast-gelegen Ouderkerk. Pieter wordt van beroep schollevisser op een zogeheten scholschuit. Samen met zijn eerste vrouw kregen zij 1 dochter en 2 zoons (waaronder Cornelis), en met zijn tweede vrouw kregen zij 4 zoons en 2 dochters. Cornelis Lans wordt in 1805 geboren in Stormpolder in de Crimpenerwaard.. Stormpolder vormde in die tijd een eigen dijkgehucht. Later is die gemeenschap samengegaan met Crimpen op den ijssel. Stormpolder bestaat nu nog steeds, maar dan als industrieterrein op dezelfde locatie. Het is een tijd, die onder veel invloed staat van de fransen. Napoleon had zichzelf uitgeroepen tot koning van Holland. Een paar jaar later wordt de burgerlijke stand ingevoerd, alsmede de grondbeginselen van het huidige rechtssysteem.
