    Guillaume Claus, geboren ca. 1720 in Moerbeke, bij Geraardsbergen. Hij is zeer waarschijnlijk de zoon van Hieronymus Claus, want die trouwt in 1717 in Moerbeke. Guillaume is drie keer getrouwd. Hij trouwt in 1745 met Maria Therese Schrevers, waar Petrus Josephus een kind van is. Zij overlijdt in 1751 en zes weken later trouwt hij met zijn tweede vrouw Caterina Vaneghem in Bever. Zij overlijdt in 1781 in Bever. Dan trouwt hij voor de derde keer met ........ Uyttenhove. Guillaume Claus overlijdt zelf op 7-8-1788 te Galmaarden.

    Guillaume CLAUS en DESCHREVE Marie Thérèse zijn gehuwd te Bever op 24/10/1745. Claus Guilielmus is overleden te Galmaarden op 09/08/1788. Hij was 3 keer gehuwd : 24/10/1745 te Bever met DESCHREVE Marie Thérèse, 28/02/1753 te Bever met VANEGHEM Catherine en 17/04/1782 te Galmaarden met UIJTTENHOVE Catherine. In zijn derde huwelijksakte (met UIJTTENHOVE Catherine) staat vermeld dat hij afkomstig is van Moerbeke (deelgemeente van Geraardsbergen). Er is maar één CLAUS Guillielmus geboren te Moerbeke : Volgens geboorteakte (14/05/1720) is hij zoon van Hieronimus en LE????? Barbara. Op 07/01/1717 is er een huwelijk te Moerbeke tussen CLAUS Hieronymus en LELONCHE (LELOUCHE ?) Maria Barbara.
