    Hij was predikant te Brandenburg. Vauit die plaats werd hij beroepen te Amsterdam. Op 19 november 1719 werd hij bevestigd in de Hoogduitse Kerk te Amsterdam. Deze kerk was de hervormde Nieuwezijds kapel. De kunstenaar Philippus Endlich heeft van hem een kopergravure gemaakt.
