    Johanna was religieuze: zuster Edeltrudis. Op 24 oktober 1944 moest zij tijdens een bombardement de schuilkelder uit om een oude vrouw te redden en werd getroffen door een granaatscherf (Bron: Unentse Sprokkels)
    Het herdenkingsmonument in Oostburg (gemeente Sluis) voor oorlogsslachtoffers is een abstract beeld van roestvrij staal van Ton Koops. Het geheel is geplaatst op een arduinen sokkel. Op de vier zijden van de sokkel zijn in doorlopende leeslijnen denamen en leeftijden van 140 slachtoffers aangebracht.
