Uit: Gorter is onze naam:
Volgens de stemkohieren was Louw in 1728 en 1738 boer op de stemmende sate nr. 3 van de Laanster en Luinster kluft, in 1748 op de saten 5, 6, 13 en 15 aldaar en in 1758 op de saten 7 en 12. Volgens het Rechterlijk Archief van Kollumerland (serie Q, boeknr. 8 folio 159 verso) kocht Louw Geerts, huisman te Kollum, in 1736 3 1/5 pondemaat greidland bij de Roode Tille in de Laanster kluft van de erven van een zekere Kornelis; in 1738 (RA KOL Q8, 196) kocht hij 11 1/5 pondemaat bouwland van Wytse Reins; in 1739 (Idem 231) kochten Louw Geerts en Dieuwke Klases, echtelieden te Collum, 4 pm. bouwland aldaar van baronesse Van Schratenbach; in 1754 (Idem Q9 211v) kocht Louw Geerts, huisman te Kollum, 8 pm gras- en bouwland van Gryttje Kornelis, weduwe van Harmannus Blau.
