meestertimmerman, wonende op de Westmaas, transporteert aan Pieter Huysman, wonende onder
Spijkenisse, 10 gem. 82 r. weiland in de polder van Biert op nrs. 107 en 108, van ouds genaamd de
Koeywey, voor 2200 g. gebeurtenis: Aantekening 2 januari 1812 Westmaas

Schoolmeester te Maasdam, gedoopt (Hervormd/Geref.) op 24-04-1743 te Dordrecht, overleden op
24-01-1819 te Westmaas op 75-jarige leeftijd. Hij staat op 21 april 1804 te Westmaas borg voor
zijn zoon Jan Cornelis Spaan Hij staat ook meermalen borg voor zijn schoonzoon Arie Wildeman.
Deze schoonzoon was bepaald bang in 1812 op 2 januari vlucht hij bij zijn schoonvader binnen,
omdat de buurman Jacob de Raadt hem bedreigde. Bij de grote brand te Westmaas in 1 792 werd het
schoolmeestershuis gespaard maar een ander huis eigendom van Jacob brandde af, huis nr.5. De
verponding (belasting) voor de brand was f 1.3.0., de verponding van het weder opgebouwde huis
bepaald op f 1.13.0. Dit huis was vroeger van weduwe de Raadt. overlijden: Jan Arends Boen,
arbeider, 53 jaar, wonende Westmaas, gemeente Mijnsheerenland, schoonbroeder, en Cornelis
Sterrenburg, 31, gebuur, hebben verklaard dat op 24 april 1812, des middags om 12 uren is
overleden, in de schuur van het laatst vermelde huis, Jacob de Raat, 64 jaar, timmerman,
weduwnaar van Aagje Becol.
