Dominicus Pietersz de Mos (ook: van der Mosch), geb. 1635, is de 2e zoon van Pieter Cornelisz (de) Mos(ch) (1594). Hij is vernoemd naar zijn grootvader van moederskant, Dominicus Arens de Ruijter, vader van Maertge Dominicusdr de Ruijter (1590-1650), de 2e echtgenoot van Pieter Cornelisz (de) Mos(ch) (1594). Het gezin woonde oostzijde van de Korendyck te Scheveningen.
Dominicus (1635) huwde op 28-04-1658 te Scheveningen met Maertje Leendertsdr (fix, 1625-1683), waaruit 2 kinderen, waaronder Leendert Dominicusse van der Mosch (1664-1734). Dominicus Pz. de Mos (1635), zeeman, kwam op 23-10-1672 om het leven op zee, samen met Giel Tasman (ca.1625-1672).
