De moeder van de bruidegom en de ouders van de bruid waren aanwezig en gaven hun toestemming. De vader van de bruidegom was overleden.
Getuigen waren Bauke Bijl, oud 41 jaar, klerk, Jelle Heltman, oud 31 jaar, klerk, Foppe Gerrits de Vries, oud 50 jaar, veldwachter en Ruwert Klazes Hofstra, oud 42 jaar, veldwachter. De eerste drie wonende in Makkinga, de laatste in Haulerwijk.
Het bruidspaar en de beide moeders verklaarden niet te kunnen schrijven als hebbende zulks niet geleerd.

Wij BURGEMEESTER van de Gemeente Ooststellingwerf, Provincie Friesland, certificeeren bij deze op het getuigenis van Bauke Bijl, van beroep klerk, wonende te Makkinga en van Jan Jansen, van beroep klerk, wonende te Makkinga, beide van competenten ouderdom en bij ons bekend, als ter goeder naam en faam staande Ingezetenen dezer Gemeente, dat Karste Bruins Bruinsma, arbeider, wonende te Appelscha en Tietje Ebeles Bos, arbeidster, wonende te Appelscha, onvermogend zijn om de kosten der Acten, Bewijzen en Schrifturen tot het voltrekken van hun Huwelijk benoodigd, te kunnen betalen, en alzoo in zoodanige behoeftige omstandigheden verkeeren dat zij ten vollen aanspraak hebben op de voorregten bij Art. 27, lett. A, No. 10 der wet van 3 October 1843, (Staatsblad No. 47), aan behoeftige personen bij het voltrekken van Huwelijken toegekend.
En hebben wij deze, ten bewijze der waarheid met de getuigen verteekend.
Gedaan ter Secretarie te Makkinga, den 12 Februarij 1863.
