In the course of years he occupied many functions, Secretary of the Roman Catholic Union of Housing in the diocese of Haarlem, Manager of the Union of the Roman Catholic United Co-operative, Secretary of the Diocese Central Purchase Agency, Member of the committee of the Roman Catholic Workers Union in the Netherlands, Secretary-treasurer of the diocese Committee for the Catholic Social Action, Member of the Public Health Service, Board member of the Diocese Federation from the White Yellow Cross and member of numerous committees.
