Notes about Kay Sebrands

Our caring and loving father and grandfather left this earth Saturday, Sept. 16, 2000, to be with his true love, his wife, Lola. We will miss him very much.

He was born July 11, 1917 in Ogden, Utah, to Bernard Renier Sebrands and Gertie Jansen. He married Lola Irene Krantz on July 9, 1949. He worked for Kennecott's Magna Smelter and Refinery and then started his own welding com-pany, which later became Kool Breeze Awning Co. He also worked for AMSCO and Aladdin Industries. At the time of his retirement he was working as shop foreman at AMSCO.

Dad was the strength of our family. He was caring and generous to all those around him.

He frequently used his talents as a craftsman and artisan to provide beautiful and useful gifts to those he loved. He was happiest when he was working on a project.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola; his son, Stuart Lamkin; his brother, Bernard (Ben) Brands; and his sister, Helen Lemmons.

He is survived by his son, Richard (Diana); and daughter, Susan (Drew) Hamilton; and grandchildren, Erin, Jonathan, David, Alyssa, Daniel, and Kaylee.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. So. Temple, Salt Lake City, where friends may call Tuesday evening, 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
