Op 6-1-1938 trouwt dochter Wilhelmina Cornelia Huiberdina te Lisse. Haar moeder woont dan te 's-Gravenhage en verkeert volgens de geneesheer-directeur van het Rijkkrankzinnigengesticht te Grave "in de onmogelijkheid haren wil kenbaar te maken omtrent de huwelijkstoesteming". Opvallend is dat Johannes pas in 1968 overlijdt.
