Had titel Monseigneur, in 1840 oprichter van de congregatie Broeders van de Onbevlekte Ontvangenis van Maria, Broeders van de Beyaart of Broeders van Maastricht, die zich richtte op onderwijs in volkswijken en aan doven in St Michielsgestel en op opleiding van onderwijzers.
Zelf verbleef hij sinds 1871 in een zenuwinrichting in Tienen. In december 1991 herbegraven op het kerkhof van de broeders van Maastricht. Over zijn grafzerk op het Sint-Pieterskerkhof http:www.breurhenket.com/kerkhof1.htm. Daar staat ook een portret van hem. Zie over de congregatie ook hun site http://www.brothers-fic.org/. Zij kreeg veel waardering voor haar goede werk, maar kwam recent ook in het nieuws vanwege kindermisbruik door een aantal leden in de jaren 1950 en -60.
