"Op den avond van de eerste Kerstdag is ten huize van E.B. alhier een kind geboren, geheel gelijk aan alle andere kinderen, doch met twee hoofden. Het kind (of moeten we zeggen: de kinderen) heeft ongeveer een half uur geleefd. Zoodra de geboorte van dit buitengewone kind bekend was, was de toeloop van nieuwsgierigen zòò groot, dat de vader een arme man, die wel iets kan gebruiken belangstellenden tegen betaling van tien cent het kind liet zien. Naar wij vernemen is door H. Scholz die bij degeboorte van het kind hulp verleende, een fotografische opname gemaakt."
