Henri V, Comte de Luxembourg was born circa 1217. He was the son of Walram III, Duc de Limbourg and Ermisende II, Comtesse de Luxembourg.1 He married Marguerite de Bar le Duc, daughter of Henri II de Bar le Duc, Comte de Bar le Duc and Philippe de Dreux, circa 1240. He died on 24 December 1281.

Henri V, Comte de Luxembourg also went by the nick-name of Henri 'the Great' (?).1 He succeeded to the title of Comte de Luxembourg in 1247.1
