Levensloop: Frits was de zoon van Jacob Reinderts (donkeyman/olieman, op de koopvaardij) en Hillegonda van Beyeren (huisvrouw). Hij bracht zijn jeugd door in de omgeving van het Scheepvaarthuis te Amsterdam. Op jeugdige leeftijd is hij gaan varen bij de Hollandsche Stoomboot Maatschappij (H.S.M.), vermoedelijk als dekpersoneel. Op onbekende datum is hij overgegaan naar de Koninklijke Marine. Hij kwam in dienst als matroos, werd matroos-duiker en daarna matroos-kok. Hij heeft op de Amsterdamsche Huishoudschool gezeten, alwaar de Marine-koks werden opgeleid, en heeft daar zijn koks-getuigschrift gehaald op de 28 juli 1924. Frits is op 13 januari 1931 in Vlissingen getrouwd met Christina Adriana Ribbens (geb. 4 september 1900, huisvrouw). Uit het huwelijk zijn twee zonen (Fred en Piet) voortgekomen. Het gezin Reinderts, voor de fortwachterswoning. In 1942 kreeg hij de functie van fortwachter op het Fort in de Botshol. De gracht zat vol met paling, snoek en zeelt en er werd dan ook veel gevist. De lijnen met aasvisjes werden 's ochtends, voor schooltijd van de kinderen, met een roeiboot binnengehaald. Gedurende de gehele periode werden onderduikers (voor de arbeidsinzet en soms joden) gehuisvest en van eten voorzien. In het voorjaar werden hiervoor door de zoons eieren in de polders gezocht. En schapenvlees was er blijkbaar ook altijd voldoende. Frits was ook lid van de ondergrondse. Zijn pistool verborg hij in een vetleren lap onder het konijnenhok naast de bergloods. Frits Reinderts (rechtsvoor in Marine-uniform) met de leden van de Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten Vinkeveen. De foto is vermoedelijke na de bevrijding in mei 1945 genomen ter ere van de samenwerking. In juni 1945 verhuisde het gezin Reinderts naar Amsterdam omdat Frits weer bij de Marine ging werken, op het Marine-etablissement Kattenburg. Daar werkte hij als majoor-kok tot zijn pensionering in oktober 1949. Op 28 augustus 1969 overleed hij te Vlissingen. Zijn vrouw Christina overleed op 31 mei 1989 te Koudekerke (Zeeland).
