Schrijver van het boekje "Gods zorg en liefde blijkbaar in 't leven van H.H. Nieboer", 1876.
In 1829 woont het gezin in huis 510 (3 pers.) samen met nog 2 gezinnen (Roelf Jurgens Schuring en Jan H. de Jonge met Japien Harms Nieboer), totaal 9 personen.

1805: begonnen te varen, gevangen in St.Malo en Nantes en London. Gevaren op franse kaper en oorlogsschepen.
1815: terug in Nederland
1821: huwelijk
1821-1825: stuurman bij dezelfde schipper
1825-1829: stuurman
1829-1831: zelf een oud schip
1831-1839: veel groter eigen schip
1839-1848: nieuw eigen schip, verloren bij Denemarken
1850: zijn vrouw overleden
1848-1856: 4e eigen schip (kof), woonde in O.P.

1858: schip overgedragen aan 2e zoon

Vanaf de geboorte van de jongste zoon Arend wordt voor hem en zijn nageslacht de achernaam Niebuur gebruikt.

In Middelburgsche Courant van 26-11-1829 onder Zee-Tijdingen:
Vlissingen den 24 November. Gisteren is alhier ter reede gearriveerd De Zeelust, kapt. H.R. Nieboer, van Riga naar Gent gedestineerd, met lijnzaad.
Idem 24-11-1829: te Veere de Hannoversche kof Zeelust.
Rotterdamsche Courant van 3-4-1830: van Vlissingen vertrokken naar Marseille.
Middelburgsche Courant van 1-4-1830: De Zeelust, kapt. H.R. Nieboer naar Marseille met lijnwaad.
Opregte Haarlemsche Courant van 14-12-1830: den 23ste November is bij Nexoë gestrand en is geheel weg, het schip Zeelust, kapt. H.R. Nieboer, van Petersburg naar Bremen.

Algemeen Handelsblad van 25-9-1843 vermeldt: Rendsburg 19 sept. Het Ned. schip Margrietha, kapt. Nieboer, van Hadersleben naar Amsterdam bestemd, is bij eerstgemelde plaats aan de grond geraakt, en dermate beschadigd, dat hetzelve als wrak te beschouwen is. (In Denemarken: Haderslev).

Groninger Courant van 12-9-1843: den 3den September vertrokken Nieboer Margaretha van Zwolle naar de Oostzee.

Groninger Courant van 26-9-1843: Het schip Margaretha, kapit. Nieboer, van Hadersleben met raapzaad naar Amsterdam, is bij Hadersleben gestrand en geheel wrak geworden, ook van de lading zoude vermoedelijk niets geborgen kunnen worden.

Veendammer Courant, 23-10-1886:
Boeldag te NieuwePekela ten verzoeke van de weduwe G. Kuiper in de kamer van de Erven H.H. Nieboer van allerhande huismeubelen.
