Lambertjes enige zoon, Paul Jan Schut, geboren in augustus 1758, nam op den duur het beheer over de molen op zich. In mei 1789 trouwde hij met Anna Nikkels. Omstreeks 1799 vertrok Paul Schut naar de Nieuwe Molen in Coldenhove (no 57). Zijn moeder, die eerst in juni 1804 overleed, bleef niet zonder hulp achter. Haar dochter Eva, in 1754 geboren, was in 1793 getrouwd met Berend van Zorgen, zoon van Lubbert Berends van Surgtum (later tot van Zorgen verbasterd), papiermaker op het Heilige Huis in Ermelo.
Mede-eigenaar Sebus de Bruyn heeft in 1817 zijn molenaandeel (2/9 parten) publiek doen veilen ten huize van Daniël Hagen, herbergier in de ‘Bonte Koe’ te Coldenhove. Koper werd, voor 1202 gld, Paul Jan Schut, broer van de weduwe van Zorgen. In 1826 werd Hendrik Jans Capel door koop op publieke veiling alleeneigenaar van de boventse Schoonmansmolen. Antoni Abraham van Zorgen bleef pachter van de molen van Hendrik Capel, vermoedelijk tot omstreeks 1850, maar er zijn nog geen gegevens gevonden over zijn vertrek of overlijden. Hij is overleden op 1 augustus 1852 te Eerbeek.

In 1799 vertrok Gerrit Materman naar Rozendaal en kwam van de Schoonmansmolen Pouwel Jan Schut als pachter naar de Nieuwe Molen. In de enquêtes van 1808 en 1811 wordt vermeld, dat hij drie man in dienst had; de molen beschikte over slechts twintig hamers. Paul Schut, die ruim veertig jaar was toen hij naar de Nieuwe Molen kwam, wordt in 1813 genoemd als lid van de municipale raad van Loenen. Zijn kinderen, waaronder Nicolaas (geboren 1791), Klaas?, Hendrik Abram en Evert en de dochters Lammertje en Aartje, zullen Paul Schut hebben geassisteerd.
