Blz 488: Vemde : De molen te Vemde
Eén van de percelen, wat hoger aan de beek gelegen, met een daarop staand huis, verkocht Buysman in april 1862 aan de Apeldoornse papierfabrikant Gerrit Jan Dijkgraaf. Gerrit Jan Dijkgraaf is 26 oktober 1834 in Apeldoorn geboren als zoon van Lucas Dijkgraaf, papiermaker op Holthuizen en Hendrika Palm. Hij trouwde Willemina Sanders. Dijkgraaf bouwde hier een nieuwe papiermolen, die hij in 1873 verkocht aan dr. Martinus Hoek. In september 1876 werd de molen publiek geveild door de weduwe van dr. Hoek, en Dijkgraaf, die waarschijnlijk huurder van de molen was geweest, kocht zijn molen terug. Nu werd de molen ingericht als een machinaal, door stoom gedreven bedrijf; de stoomketel werd in 1880 geplaatst. Volgens een opgave van 1898 was er toen één papiermachine met een jaarproduktie van 250.000 kg. Op 10 mei 1900 droeg Dijkgraaf zijn stoompapierfabriek in eigendom over aan zijn zoons Lucas, Willem Andries en Gerrit Jan jr. Zij hebben het bedrijf voortgezet tot in 1927, toen de waterrechten aan het nabijgelegen zwembad 'De Wijerd' kwamen.
