Notes about Jacob Koldewijn

Jacob is vernoemd naar opa van moeders kant. Jacob was papiermaker, maar met een ’ligt hart gebrek’. Na het overlijden van zijn vader in 1811 heeft hij eerst samen met zijn moeder de papiermolen de Winkewijert gerund en naar haar overlijden in 1822 het werk op deze molen voortgezet. Rond het overlijden van vader (1811) en moeder (1822) is broer Derk bijgesprongen en rond zijn eigen overlijden is Jochem Koldewijn (1809-1871) tijdelijk op de molen gekomen tot ca 1841.

Hendrik Koldewijn werkte met Albert Luttikhuysen als knecht en met zijn zoon Jacob, die ongehuwd bleef en volgens het militair register met een 'ligt hartgebrek'. Op 20 mei 1811 is Hendrik Koldewijn, 70 jaar oud, op zijn molen overleden. De weduwe en kinderen hebben het bedrijf voortgezet met enkele knechts. In 1827 werkte op de molen zoon Jacob Koldewijn, die met vijf werklieden in het patentregister wordt genoemd.
