"Dinie Hermens volgde een cursus boekhouden en werkte op kantoor bij de Geldersche Spaarbank. Ieder dag liep ze met haar vriendin Els Zondag via de Krayenhofflaan naar haar werk en terug. Op 22 februari zijn zij op weg naar huis in een van de winkels aan de Krayenhofflaan binnengevlucht. Dagen na het bombardement zijn hun lichamen in een van de kelders in de Krayenhofflaan gevonden en geïdentificeerd. Zie ook Bart Janssen, "De pijn die blijft", blz 260-262 ."
