Mark Anthony Hake was born February 21, 1902, in Tipton. He died at his home in Osborne September 30, 1971.
Mr. Hake farmed near Tipton until 1958, when he moved to Osborne. He was an Osborne county highway employee, retiring in 1969. He was a member of the St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors included his widow, Christina; five daughters, Mrs. Charlene Merrick, Mrs. Ruth Jennings, Marilyn Hake, Mrs. Elaine Prack and Mrs. Karen Walters; four sons., Jerome Hake, Major Allen Hake, Leon Hake and Meldon Hake; five sisters, Mrs. Katie Steichen, Mrs. Anna Moritz, Mrs. Pauline Thaull, Dorothy Hake and Sister Luella Hake; two brothers, Theodore and Herman; and 15 grandchildren.
According to the Salina Journal obituary, burial was at St. Boniface cemetery, Tipton.
