No proof has been discovered as to the father of William Nickerson, founder of Chatham, Massachusetts. ===Death and Burial===William was buried on 28 Aug 1644, at St. Peter per Mountergate Parish. A date of 28 Feb 1644 is also suggested as William's date of death in some reference material. William took up residency in the neighboring town of St. Ethelred's Parish prior to his death, so It's conceivable that he may have died in this Parish.
===Notes===William Nickerson was admitted a Freeman on 08 Dec 1620. On 28 Apr 1621, he apprenticed his sons, William and Richard, as tailors.
