Age:69-70
-George Glover was born at Longdon, Staffs in
1862.He enlisted in the army in 1879, had been a Stoker, aged 18yrs 4mths.
Was in the UK till Dec.1881.Gibraltar to August 1882, Egypt to October 1882,
India to October 1899, Malta to January 1901. Discharged aged 39yr and 6
mths.
I'm looking for any records to do with the career of George Glover.
I believe he took his discharge in Malta around 1903, and I've found him and
his family on the 1911 census at Hademore which is near Whittington
Barracks, Staffordshire, where he was a Barrack Warden. I wonder if he
joined the Staffordshire Regt ? He later ran a pub in Wombourne, Staffs, and
died there in 1932.
