According to the Visitation of Northamptonshire, 1564, Robert Pemberton, esquire, of Rushden, was the son of William Pemberton, of Somersale (Skelmersdale?), Lancs. He married Alice Lago of Newcastle, Staffs, and their children were William, son and heir, and Richard, who died without issue.[1]
In 1478, Robert Pemberton represented Rushen, Northamptonshire in Parliament[2].
Robert Pemberton, esquire, died on 3 January 7 Henry VII (1492) and his Inquisition Post Mortem was held on 17 November 8 Henry VII (1492). William Pemberton, aged 24 and more, was his son and heir. He held half of a close in Covington, Hunts, of the king.[3]
