Sytze married 2 Kinsch Jarichs Metskewier, Reynsck’s sister – which most likely is the same person (in which case he only married once).[1]

He gave them the choice to risk a shot out of the cannon or go to the tavern at hand and there on its cost as much to drink as they wanted. Thus, the saying "Fjochtsje or Supe sei squire Sjuck" (fight or carouse said Squire Sjuck) came into the world.

Their son Laes of Burmania was the next owner. He left thoroughly renovate the state in 1658. Then it was Tjeerd van Burmania resident (deceased in 1702) and after him that son Epo Sjuck (d. 1775) who was married to Maria Romelia of Haersma. When the house successively fell into the hands of Remia Juliana Arntzenia of Burmania and her husband Ulbo Julius Sixma until 1820, Epo Sjuck Burmania Vegelin of Claerbergen (deceased 1833), mr. Ulrich Herman Wielinga Huber and Anskje Doys Vegelin of Claerbergen, grandchild of Epo Sjuck and deceased in 1862.
The last occupant of Martena State was Esquire Duco Martena of Burmania Vegelin of Claerbergen. Which was larger in the noble names then fell into the money and no longer as fresh state due to lack of maintenance continues. He entertained the ruinous Finally in 1899 the church tutelage of Cornjum.

Martena-State was demolished in 1899, after which a new country house was built in neo-Renaissance style designed by the architect WC de Groot. In the facades of the existing house are enekele bricks of the old state.
