Clare "Blossom" Elfman (née Bernstein; November 4, 1925 â April 10, 2017[1]) was an American novelist.
She was married to Milton Elfman (1915-2001), for 53 years until his death in 2001.[2] Milton was an elementary school teacher and he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. The couple had two children together: writer, director and publisher Richard Elfman, and musician and composer Danny Elfman.
Elfman, writing under Clare Elfman, was senior literary editor of Buzzine, owned and operated by Richard Elfman and Louis Elfman. She also wrote theater and book reviews and did interviews, including with author Salman Rushdie and many others.
