ALBANY, Ill. — Services for David R. Buikema, 85, of 306 N. Bluff St., will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Albany, preceded by a 1:15 p.m. family prayer service at the church. Burial will be in Lusk Memorial Cemetery, Albany.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Fulton Chapel of Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Mr. Buikema died Wednesday, April 21, 1999, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport.
He retired in 1972 after 31 years with International Harvester Co., East Moline. He had also worked at Northwestern Steel and Wire Co., Sterling.
He was born March 23, 1914, in Fulton. He married Sylvia Burns in 1937 in Clinton, Iowa.
Memorials may be made to the church or Albany Ambulance Association.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Marilyn Gooch, Albany, and Wanda Naftzger, Layton, Utah; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wilma Dykstra and Marie Vredeling, both of Fulton.
