OLDEST MEMBER OF THE TON FAMILY DEAD <p></p> <p> Klaas Madderom, the oldest member of the Ton family, whose annual reunions are attended by hundreds, is dead. The family includes nearly 500 members, all residents of the southern part of Chicago, and Cook county. Mr. Madderom, at the time of his death on Saturday was nearly 83 years of age, having been born Nov. 5, 1819. He resided at One Hundred and Tenth street and Wabash avenue, and was one of the oldest residents of the district, coming to Chicago from the Netherlands, his native country, in 1852.The funeral will be from the First Dutch Reformed church of Rose land tomorrow afternoon. The interment will be at Mount Greenwood. As many as possible of the family will attend. <p> Mr. Madderom is survived by four daughters and three sons. The daughters, three of whom married brothers, are Mrs. L. Vandersyde, Mrs. Henry De Young, Mrs. D. De Young, and Mrs. C. De Young. The sons are John, Cornelius and Abraham Madderom. All seven reside in the southern part of the city. Though its oldest member is dead, the Ton family reunion will be held as usual this year. The date selectedis July 24, and the gathering place Thornton. <p> Nearly 50 men, women, and children will attend the reunion, the seventh in the family's history. The officers in whose charge the arrangements are; John C. Ton, president; A. K. Madderom, vice president; Agnes L. Ton, secretary; G. Eenigenburg, treasurer; C. J. Ton, historian. The chairmen of the various committees are: Rich J. Ton, executive; George Dekker, grounds; R. A. Vandenburg, program; Peter De Young, sports; Mrs. H. R. Koopman, music; Mae C. Ton refreshments.
