BARNES, Cecil John - April 16, 1918 - June 13, 2004. Passed peacefully at his home in Masonic Park, Cec Barnes. He is predeceased by his devoted friend and wife Marie. Leaving to mourn daughters: Evelyn Stockley (Roy), Lorna Lee (Carter), Anne, and Daisy Essery (Fred); son: Spencer J. (Ingrid Verbree); brothers: Tom, Harry (Madeline), and Duncan sisters: Mollie Duffett, Georgie Nixon (Campbell); seventeen grandchildren and their spouses; thirteen great-grandchildren; a large extended family and a wide circle of friends. Cec was an Assistant Fire Chief (retired), active member of St. Michael and All Angels Church, staunch member of Masonic and Shrine Fraternities, enthusiastic member of Masonic Park Social Club. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Cripple and Burned Children or a charity of one's choice. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 from 7-10 pm and on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 from 10 am - 10 pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will be held at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road. Cec's family would like to thank Barrett's Funeral Home, Physicians and Staff at the Health Sciences Complex Emergency, Margie Morey, and especially Rev. Lorraine Jarvis, Rev.
