He is survived by his wife Grace; his children Donald and Shirley VandenBrink of Grand Rapids; Carol and Kenneth Heuvelman of Allendale; Joan and William Sturrus of Grand Rapids; nine grandchildren; four brothers Herman, John, George and Charles VandenBrink and two sisters Cora Smith and Grayce DeRyke
