LifeSketch: Note William married his cousin, Esther Alderman and after her death he married her sister Jemima, both being daughters of John Alderman, Jr. About 1850 he moved from Duplin to Moore County where his family grew up. They had been members of Wells Chapel Baptist Church before departing for their new home and soon after arrival there they assisted in organizing Crane Creek Baptist Church in the midst of a prevailing Presbyterian community. They were esteemed for their modesty and integrity.Less Modified 26 August 2013 by Patricia Stowell [prastowell2748781]
