Dear Lisa - so sorry, know how you feel, but your pain goes much deeper. But boy were you ever loved by your dad, always. You were in my mind weeks before, and I'm sorry I never stopped to grab your elbow and at least say "hi". Just want you to know you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers lately. Love, Steph.

For the last number of weeks, I'd noticed that John had not been coming to the Stoney Creek trail (I could have set a clock using his arrival with Milton every day). We always chatted, and I knew that John had a heart problem. With his absence I expected the worst had happened, and this obituary confirms it. My dog Sadie and I sadly miss seeing John and his pal Milton. My condolences to his family.

Dear Lisa, family and friends,
with you, we are sad that your dad, granddad, brother, uncle, friend, our "omke Jentsje" has passed away. We remember him as a straightforward and helpful man with a lot of humour and a sparkle in his eyes.
Our sincere condolences and love to all of you!

Oh, oh. We now think the dogs name was Milton. Whichever name, we miss him and his person on the walking trails.

We met John often as we walked our dogs on Bateman (both Willband and Bateman). Winston loved treats, and so did our Hemi. Sometimes we miss our dog-walking friends but don't know why. So sad to the the notice in the newspaper today. Walt & Jean Thiessen

Dear Lisa and family: We have fond memories of your Dad and Mom. Visiting at Christmas with the Postmans on Panorama and just laughing all night. Your Dad had this twinkle in his eye and was willing to question the usual way of thinking. Our thoughts are with you in these difficult days
