ELIZABETH O'BRIEN---- AGED WOMAN DIES RATHER SUDDENLY ------------ MRS. ELIZABETH O'BRIEN PASSES AWAY AT HOME HERE ------------ Funeral Will Be Held on Wednesday Morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church ------------ Mrs.Elizabeth O'Brien died last evening about 5 o'clock at her residence, 801 West Front street. Although Mrs. O'Brien was an aged woman and somewhat of an invalid, her death was entirely unexpected. She had attained the ripe old age of 78 years and was a devout member of the Catholic church. She was well known in Muscatine and many of her old friends will be sorry to learn of her death. Mrs. Elizabeth O'Brien was born in Ireland, February 16, 1833, coming to this country when but a young girl. She settled in Tipton, Iowa, and was there married to Patrick O'Brien who died shortly after moving to this city, 35 years ago. Four children preceded her in death. They were : William, Charles, Josie and Harry. She is survived by three children, as follows: Mrs. Anna Eaton and Michael, of this city, and Edward, who has not yet been located. The funeral will be held tomorrow morning at St.Mary's church. Father J. I., Grieser will celebrate mass. Interment will be made in St. Mary's cemetery.
Note: 1920 census with John E and Alice- not same person, as he is one year older and born in PA.
