Arnold E. “Arnie” Killinger
Arnold E. “Arnie” Killinger, 69, of Sebewaing died Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Bay Regional Medical Center in Bay City following a lengthy illness.
He was born April 18, 1940 in Sebewaing, son of the late Herman and Lo (Dangler) Killinger.
He was employed by General Motors Powertrain in Bay City for 27 years before retiring in 1992.
Arnold was a member of New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing.
He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and was an avid snowmobiler.
Surviving are four brothers, one sister and spouses, Ronald Killinger of Pigeon, John Killinger of Caro, Robert (Barbara) Killinger of Davison, Dan (Lois) Killinger of Sebewaing, Joyce (Lloyd) Harder of Pigeon; two sisters-in-law, Dora Killinger of Pigeon, Helen Killinger of Gaines; many nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Law, Marion Stoeckle; two brothers, Lavere “Bee” Killinger, Duane “Doc” Killinger; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Killinger, Irene Killinger and Else Killinger.
Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at New Salem Lutheran Church in Sebewaing. The Rev. William Mayhew will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Dinkel-Juengel Funeral Home in Sebewaing, and he will lie in state at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider New Salem Lutheran School.
