FORD, Stephen, Smuttinose Island, Isles of Shoals, was badly frost-bitten in a storm at sea about 1/1651, and lost parts of his hands and arms, etc. in consequence. His neighbors raised 46 li. for his support; and the county court gave more and arranged for his maintenance.
