Prince of Armenia Ashot III "the Blind" Bagratuni was son of Vasak. He was born circa 685. He was
the son of Vasak Bagratuni. He became the marzpan of Armenia fifty-four years after the
immolation of the Armenian princes in Naxchawan, the Arab massacre of nobles in 705, and ruled
for seventeen years in 759. Marzpan of Armenia, Transcaucasia, between 759 and 776. He died in 776.
