Athenagenes Souren-Pahlav was the son of Yusik I Pahlav, Katholikos of Armenia and N. N. ArÜakuni.
He led his life, like his brother Pap, in impiety, lewdness and God-hating. He died in the church
in the awan at Ashtishat, Taron. "While ... in great merriment, reclining in the episcopate
eating and drinking, suddenly the angel of the Lord appeared in the form of a bolt of lightning,"
