27 May 1562. On 10 Oct 1630 Lady Maria van Herwijnen, widow of Lord Walraven van Hemert, 72 years
of age, Merten Jansen Sterck, 80 years of age, and Wouter Otten, 74 years of age, testify on
request of ABRAHAM GIJSBERTSEN, inhabitant of Herwijnen, that MARYE ALARTS, wife of GIJSBERT
GOIRTSEN, BRUYSTEN ALARTS, during his life living in Rumpt, DIRCK ALARTS, during his living in
Gorinchem, and BEERT ALARTS, former wife of AERT ANTHONISSEN, were four brothers and sisters,
children of ALERT DIRCXSEN and his wife ARICKEN. The four children were all b Herwijnen and
brought up at their parentsÆ homestead, which is now owned by ABRAHAM GIJSBERTSEN. (Judicial

AERT THONISEN hands over to GHIJSBERT GOIRTSEN: the property and rights, that he and his wife

3 DIRCK ALERTS, b Herwijnen, d bef 10 Oct 1630, of Gorinchem, ZH. 4 BEERT (Bertken) ALERTS, b bef
1558 at Herwijnen, d aft 10 Oct 1630. Beert m prior to 29 Jul 1579 to AERT ANTHONISSEN. On 29 Jul
1579 AERT THONISSEN and his brother-in-law, GIJSBERT GOERTSEN, share equally an interest in a
certain property located in Herwijnen containing 19 hont of land which is presumed to be an
