He succeeded his brother at the farm house in the Achterstraat at den Hout.
He enjoyed drinking a glas of beer and this had some consequences: he has to appear before the
court of the sheriff (D: schout) and alderman of Oosterhout for having stabbed the forester of
den Hout, sir Philip Bosson, with a claw stick (D: klauwstok) on sunday July 18 1677 first in his
fingers and then in his chest. He has been punished with a fine and released since it was the
harvest season.
