LUTIE (WIERSEMA) KAMPHIUS :When the inmentable news of the death of Mrs. Henry J. Kamphuis, who passed away about two o'clock Saturday night at Mercy hospital in Clinton, was learned Sunday morning, many were the expressions of sympathy heard on all sides for the heart-broken husband and Greif-stricken parents. Mrs. Kamphuis, who was Lutie W. Wiersema, was born in Fulton July 19,
1885, and was the second youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wiersema, who reside on Fifteenth avenue. In August, 1905, she was married to Henry J. Kamphuis, and since then they have made their home in this city. Mrs. Kamphuis was a good woman of kind and loving disposition, a kind-hearted mother, loving wife and dearly attached to her home and family. On March 1a son was born to Mrs. Kamphuis and the day following serious complications developed, and in the afternoon she was taken to Mercy hospital for treatment. She improved and last Saturday, when her friends called on her, had planned to return toher home early this week. A sad incidence in connection with her death was the fact that about two weeks ago the family first occupied and enjoyed the comforts of their handsome house recently erected for their home. She leaves her husband, a daughter, Helen; an infant son; her parents; eight brothers, Clarence, Albert, Louis, John, Peter, Henry, Bernard and Elmer, and four sisters, Kate, the wife of J.J. Sikkema; Effie, who married Dewey Renkes; Grace, the wife of Henry Zuidema, and Henrietta, who married Richard Borgman. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, with services in the Second Reformed church conducted by Rev. Isaac Van Westenburg, and burial in the Fulton cemetery.
