The sheriff of Amerongen ordered Frederik van den Honert with the clean-up of "Rojestein" , but he build from those materials a new house similar to "Rojestein". One of the descendants of van den Honert try to sell it to Peter Versteegh, pretending she owned it.
In a legal battle, van den Honert claimed the rebuilding cost ,but Versteegh claimed to be the owner of the land. The dispute was settled by Verteegh paying 16,000.00 guilder for the restoration cost plus he got an additional piece of land.
